President, Hotel Development (Based in Jakarta, Indonesia)

About our client:
A prominent hospitality company whose portfolio comprises of numerous hotel brands, encompassing over 1,500 properties worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the expansion of the Group’s hotel business in the Indonesian market
• Leads team to conduct market research and feasibility studies, identify, evaluate, and secure new hotel acquisition, lease, and conversion opportunities aligned with the Group’s development strategy.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential deals, including distressed assets, strategic locations, and value-add opportunities.
• Lead investment analysis including P&L modeling, ROI projections, IRR analysis, and scenario planning.
• Prepare business cases and investment memoranda for executive decision-making.
• M&A activities as needed, including asset valuation and due diligence coordination.
• Leads in negotiation of key deal terms with property owners, developers, and investment partners.
• Build and maintain strong networks with property owners, real estate brokers, investment firms, consultants, and government stakeholders.
• Leads technical, design, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from acquisition to pre-opening phase.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
• 12 – 15  years of relevant development experience in the hotel industry, with at least 5 years in a management role
• Good understanding of the Indonesian hospitality market
• Familiar with the full scope of hotel business operations; strong skills in market development, team management, and project supervision.
• Excellent leadership, sense of responsibility, communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to perform well under pressure.
