Key Account Manager

A growing data centre with APAC exposure. Due to business expansion, they are looking for a Key Account Manager to handle large scale accounts in APAC.

Background:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be instrumental in driving our client’s expansion in Asia. This role is primarily focused on new business development, actively seeking out and acquiring new clients within the data centre industry. In addition to managing key client relationships, the KAM will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, boosting revenue, and exploring opportunities to expand our services. This position requires a deep understanding of the data centre industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong, lasting client relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

New Business Development:

  • Actively seek out and acquire new clients, focusing on expanding our customer base.
  • Develop strategies for identifying and targeting potential new clients in the colocation industry.
  • Lead and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries swiftly and professionally.
  • Continuously evaluate client satisfaction and address any issues or challenges they face.

Account Growth and Development:

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling colocation services.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to create tailored solutions for clients.
  • Develop and implement account plans to maximize revenue from new and existing clients.

Contract Management:

  • Negotiate and manage contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with clients.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and address any deviations or discrepancies.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical support, site managers, and finance, to meet client expectations and achieve company goals.
  • Share feedback and insights to improve product and service offerings.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in data centre industry handling large account.
  • Proven track record in new business development, with a focus on acquiring new clients.
  • Skilled in managing forecasts and pipelines.
  • Strong abilities in persuasion, negotiation, and time management.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines effectively.
  • Superior communication skills and leadership qualities for engaging with all levels of an organization, including C-level executives.
